WATERBURY — George J. Krawczyk, 74, passed away peacefully on Monday, July 5, 2021, at the Village at Kensington Place in Meriden.
Born in Drutte, West Germany, on June 6, 1947, he was the son of the late Stanley and Nadia (Matushak) Krawczyk. He was a longtime resident of Waterbury and graduated from Western New England Collage, Springfield, Mass. George retired as an accounting manager from Dana Corporation (Echlin) in Branford after many years of service. He was a member of St. Mary’s Orthodox Church in Waterbury.
He leaves his children, Eva Kawczynski and her husband, Mark, Rachel Golebiewski and her husband, Gene, and Eric Krawczyk and his fiancé, Michele Mueller; his five grandchildren, Ally and Ashton Kawczynski, and Gunner, Genna and Gannon Golebiewski. George was predeceased by his sister, Helen Matzkevich.
His funeral will be on Friday, July 9, 2021, at 10 a.m. at Ss. Cyril and Methodius Orthodox Church, 34 Fairview Ave., Terryville. Burial will follow in St. Mary’s Orthodox Cemetery, Stillson Road, Waterbury. Family and friends may call on Thursday from 4 to 6 p.m. at the Naugatuck Valley Memorial/Fitzgerald-Zembruski Funeral Home, 240 North Main St., Naugatuck.
