NAUGATUCK — Frank L. Simpson, 77, husband of the late Joanne (Flaherty) Simpson, died peacefully on Dec. 11, 2020, at his home, surrounded by his loving family.

Frank was born on Dec. 18, 1942, in Waterbury, a son of the late Frank and Mary (Bordner) Simpson, and lived in Naugatuck most of his life. Frank was an easygoing, hardworking, industrious man, who had many jobs and businesses during his life. Frank always did whatever it took to support the people he loved the most, his family. Frank enjoyed traveling and he especially loved his trips to the beach in Rhode Island. Frank loved a good party and was blessed with many friends.

Frank is survived by his daughter, Maureen Greene and her husband, Len Greene; his sons, Brian Simpson, Kenneth Simpson and his spouse, Ken Adams, Sean Simpson and his wife, Heather Simpson; his grandchildren, Alan Lee Jr. and Cheyenne Root, Kyle Patrick Simpson, Alycia and Jim Feeney, and Leonard and Victoria Greene; his great-grandchildren, Callie Lee, Erin and Autumn Feeney, Jillian and Madison Greene; his siblings, John Simpson (Marie), George Simpson, Patricia Shields (Jim), Shirley Bridge (Tony), Charles Simpson (Anna), Bonnie Lee Holigan (Phil), Jody Simpson (Roxanne) and Scott Simpson (Mary); his brother-in-law, Charles Rodman; and numerous nieces and nephews. In addition to his wife and his parents, Frank was predeceased by his brothers and sister, Edward, Charles, James, Thomas, Robert and Margaret Simpson; his niece, Robyn Simpson; his sisters-in-law, Mary Rodman and Judy Flaherty; and his brothers-in-law, Michael and Thomas Flaherty.

All services will be private and there are no calling hours. Arrangements have been entrusted to the Buckmiller Thurston Mengacci Funeral Home, 82 Fairview Ave., Naugatuck.

In lieu of flowers and to honor Frank’s memory, donations can be made to the Closer to Free Fund, which jointly supports Smilow Cancer Hospital at Yale New Haven and Yale Cancer Center.
