NAUGATUCK — Francisco Dos Santos, 59, resident of Naugatuck for over 35 years, passed away suddenly on Aug. 6, 2013. He was the beloved husband of Maria (Santos) Dos Santos.
Mr. Dos Santos was born on March 27, 1954 in Seara Velha, Chaves, Portugal. He was the son of the late Alfredo Dos Santos and Teresa (De Jesus) Dos Santos and the son-in-law of the late Jaime dos Santos and Amelia de Jesus Santos. He worked for O & G Industries for nine years and previously for General Metals in Naugatuck for over 20 years. He was a member of the Our Lady of Fatima Church in Waterbury.
Along with his wife Maria, he is survived by one son, David F. Santos of Naugatuck, three brothers-in-law and their respective wives, Domingos Santos and Maria dos Santos of Canada, Fernando Santos and Teresa dos Santos of Naugatuck and Jorge Santos and Maria dos Santos of Bridgeport, as well as nine nephews and nieces living in Portugal, Canada and the United States.
He was predeceased by one son, Victor F. Santos, and two sisters, Maria Rita dos Santos and Judite Teresa dos Santos.
The funeral will be held on Thursday, Aug. 15, 2013 at 9 a.m. at Our Lady of Fatima Church, Baldwin Street, Waterbury. Everyone is asked to meet directly at the church. Burial will be in Portugal at the convenience of the family. There are no calling hours and the Buckmiller Brothers Funeral Home, 26 Waterbury Road, Route 69, Prospect is in charge of the arrangements.
