NAUGATUCK — Frances M. Haigh, 99, passed away on Saturday, March 13, 2021, at Waterbury Hospital. She was the wife of the late John R. Haigh, who passed away in 2014.
Mrs. Haigh was born Feb. 14, 1922, in Dobbs Ferry, N.Y., the daughter of the late Robert and Aline (Monnier) Whan. She was a draftsman for the Bristol Babcock Company, retiring in 1987 after 27 years of employment. She was a member of the United Methodist Church of Naugatuck and was a past matron of the Good Will Chapter, Order of the Eastern Star. She also served as a rainbow advisor.
Mrs. Haigh is survived by her daughters, Evelyn MacIntosh and her husband, William, of Nevada and Barbara Giordano and her husband, Carl, of Oakville; her grandchildren, Amy Ray and her husband, Joseph, and Douglas MacIntosh and his wife, Chloe; her great-grandchildren, Jacob and Jamie Ray, and Mason, Smith, Monroe and Crews MacIntosh. In addition to her parents, she is predeceased by her sisters, Aline Cox, Dorothy Nolan and Louise Nolan.
Funeral services and committal in Grove Cemetery will be held at the convenience of the family and there are no calling hours. The Alderson-Ford Funeral Home of Naugatuck is assisting with arrangements.
