NAUGATUCK — Evelyn A. (Bea) Renzoni, 80, of 3 Burritt Place, passed away on Sunday, July 31, at Beacon Brook Health Care Center, peacefully surrounded by her family. She was wife of Daniel J. Renzoni, Sr.
Mrs. Renzoni was born in Derby on April 22, 1931, daughter of the late John Bea and Anne (Rybinski) (Bea) Szymerski.
She was a longtime Naugatuck resident, and she had worked at Glendale Health Care center for many years. Evelyn was a communicant of St. Francis of Assisi Church, and she enjoyed knitting and reading.
Besides her husband of 59 years, she leaves a son, Daniel J. Renzoni, Jr. of Naugatuck; three daughters, Deborah A. Diver and Denise Wilkins, both of Naugatuck, and Danielle R. Lieder of Seymour; seven grandchildren, Chris Lieder and his wife Claudine, Jeff and Adam Lieder, Danielle Diver, Jonathan and Daniel Wilkins and Daniel Renzoni III; two great-grandchildren, Olivia Lieder and Ariel Diver Pierre and several nieces and nephews and cousins.
She was predeceased by a grandson Dustin Diver.
The family would like to thank the staff at Beacon Brook for their kindness and compassion shown during her illness.
Her funeral will be held on Wednesday, Aug. 3, at 9 a.m. from the Naugatuck Valley Memorial/Fitzgerald Zembruski Funeral Home, 240 North Main St., Naugatuck to St. Francis of Assisi Church for a mass of Christian burial at 10 a.m. Burial will follow in St. James Cemetery, Cross Street, Naugatuck. Calling hours will be held at the funeral home on Tuesday from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m.
