NAUGATUCK — Eileen M. Havican, 88, entered into rest on Saturday, Sept. 21, 2019 at Glendale Center in Naugatuck. Eileen was born on Nov. 17, 1930 in Conesville, N.Y., daughter of the late Harry and Grace (Myers) Hanley.
Eileen worked in the assembly department at Bristol Babcock and also as a nurse’s aide. She was an untiring mother who did all she could to support her family. She was a longtime resident of Naugatuck and also lived in Waterbury and Middlebury for some time. She will be remembered for her vibrant laughter.
Eileen is the beloved mother of David Hanley, who was raised by her parents and his wife, Linda, of Naugatuck, Stephen Havican and his wife, Linda, of Florida, Mark Havican and his wife, Janet, of Texas, Jerry Havican and his wife, Cathy, of Waterbury, and Eileen Clarke and her husband, Bill, of Middlebury. She is also survived by her many cherished grandchildren and great-grandchildren, and her brother, Donald Hanley of Maine. Eileen was predeceased by her sons, Raymond and James Havican; her brother, Paul Hanley; and her sisters, Ruth Miller and Louise Wakelee.
Friends may greet Eileen’s family at the Alderson-Ford Funeral Home of Naugatuck, 201 Meadow St., Naugatuck, on Thursday, Sept. 26, 2019 from 6 until 7:30 p.m. A celebration of Eileen’s life and time to share memories will be held at 7:30 p.m.
