Edward Suchezky

PROSPECT – Edward Suchezky, age 86, of 23 Deerfield Drive, died Dec.  29 at the Glendale Center in Naugatuck. He was the husband for 63 years of Irene M. (Gallant) Suchezky.

Mr. Suchezky was born in Bridgeport on April 29, 1924 a son of the late Frank and Eleanora (Boncek) Sucheczki. He was retired as an assistant manager from the John Hancock Insurance Company where he had worked for over 30 years and was a communicant of St. Vincent Ferrer Church in Naugatuck. He was a CLU and was also formerly employed as a realtor with Elmer Craw Realty. He was a member of the Cheshire Senior Center and the Prospect Senior Citizens Center and was a past member of the Knights of Columbus. He was a U.S. Army veteran having served during World War II.

Besides his wife, Mr. Suchezky is survived by three daughters, Denise Booth and her husband Wayne of Stratford, Diane Stanio and her husband Michael of Alexandria, VA, and Lori O’Brien and her husband Frank of Duluth, GA, two sons: Gil Suchezky and his wife Bridget of Milford and Mark Suchezky and his wife Angela of South Lyon, Michigan, one sister: Veronica Gaewsky of Virginia Beach, VA, one brother: George Sucheczki of Trumbull, 10 grandchildren, 5 great grandchildren, 4 step great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

The funeral will be held on Monday January 3,2011 at 10:30 a.m. from the Buckmiller Brothers Funeral Home 82 Fairview Ave. Naugatuck to St. Vincent Ferrer Church 1006 New Haven Rd. Naugatuck for a mass at 11 a.m. Burial will be at the convenience of the family. Friends may call at the funeral home on Jan. 2 from 3 to 6 p.m.
