NAUGATUCK – Mr. Edward Louis “Lou” Hennessey, age 75, of 65 Hillview St., died Dec. 10 at Waterbury Hospital surrounded by family and friends. He was the beloved husband of the late Barbara A. (Coradazzi) Hennessey.

Mr. Hennessey was born in Waterbury on October 15, 1935 a son of the late Edward G. and Arline (Brennan) Hennessey. He was retired from the Reymond Baking Company where he worked as a bread salesman for many years and was a communicant of St. Francis of Assisi Church in Naugatuck. He was a member of the Teamsters Union and was an avid New York Yankees fan. He also played Santa for various organizations, schools and families for over 25 years and also served as master of ceremonies for many testimonials and retirement parties throughout the years.

Mr. Hennessey is survived by two sons, Gary Hennessey and his wife Donna of Advance, N.C. and Todd Hennessey and his wife Janine of Seymour, one daughter, Dana Satkowski and her husband Peter of Beacon Falls, one brother, Neal Hennessey and his wife Barbara of The Villages, Fl., two sisters: Arline Best and her husband James of Naugatuck and Randi Dibble and her husband Donald of Naugatuck, a sister in law, Eleanor Berube of Waterbury and three grandchildren, Gabby Hennessey, Ashley Hennessey and Brooke Hennessey. He was predeceased by two brothers, Gerald and Leo Hennessey. Lou is also survived by many nieces, nephews and friends including dingbats and knuckleheads.

The funeral will be held Dec. 16 at 9:30 a.m. from the Buckmiller Brothers Funeral Home 82 Fairview Ave. Naugatuck to St. Francis of Assisi Church 318 Church St. Naugatuck for a mass at 10 a.m. Burial will be in St. James Cemetery in Naugatuck. Friends may call at the funeral home on Dec. 15 from 4 to 8 p.m.
