NAUGATUCK — Debbie Wilcox, 59, passed away on Sunday, Nov. 24, 2013 at home surrounded by her loving family.

Debbie was born on Jan. 22, 1954 in Waterbury a daughter of Patricia Dunn and the late Fred Ruccio. She was retired from the Naugatuck Police Department where she worked as an animal control officer for many years. She also worked at Ferrari’s Appliance for the past 10 years. She enjoyed playing setback at the Milestone Inn. She also loved spending time with her friends, family and most of all, her granddaughter Madison.

Besides her mother Patricia she is survived by her three daughters, Shannon Wilcox and her fiancée Bill Cook of Bristol, Kelly Mento of Naugatuck and Carrie Wilcox also of Naugatuck; two sisters, Felicia Ruccio and Sherri Piccolo; five brothers, Rick Ruccio, Tony Ruccio, Michael Ruccio, Douglas Ruccio, and Chris Ruccio. She will also be greatly missed by her granddaughter and best friend, Madison Mento.

She was predeceased by one brother, John Ruccio.

The funeral will be held on Saturday, Nov. 30, 2013 at 9 a.m. at St. Francis of Assisi Church, 318 Church St., Naugatuck. Everyone is asked to meet directly at the church. Burial will be in St. James Cemetery. Friends may call at the Buckmiller Brothers Funeral Home, 82 Fairview Ave., Naugatuck on Friday evening from 4 to 7 p.m.
