WHITEHOUSE, Texas — Mr. Darryl Keith Towne, 51, of Whitehouse, died Wednesday Nov. 13, 2013 in Tyler, Texas. He was the husband of Kandie Towne.
Darryl was born in Mt. Kisco, N.Y. on May 22, 1962 a son of Alice (Matthews) Towne of Clinton and the late Howard Francis Towne, Sr. He was employed as a gasoline tanker truck driver having worked at Pilot Trucking in Tyler, Texas.
Darryl was an amazing man who loved riding his Harley, watching “The Walking Dead” and so much more. Most of all, he was a family man who enjoyed spending as much time as possible with his family and friends.
Besides his wife and mother, Darryl is survived by his children, Darryl Jr., Jennifer, Jami, Maverick, Alexia and Tamara; two sisters, Juanita Keroski and her husband Tom of Thomaston and Cheryl Brooks and her fiance Charles LaFlamme of Prospect; six brothers, Howard Towne and his wife Stella of Ansonia, William Towne of New Canaan, Donald Towne and his wife Sandy of Winsted, Kevin Towne and his wife Patricia of Bethany, David Towne and his wife Frances of Derby and Roger Towne of Clinton and several nieces and nephews.
A memorial service will be held on Friday, Nov. 22, 2013 at 8 p.m. at Prospect Memorial Funeral Home, 72 Waterbury Road, Prospect. Burial will be at the convenience of the family. Calling hours will be held at the funeral home on Friday, Nov. 22, 2013 from 6 to 8 p.m. Please join us in dress code — a Harley Davidson T-shirt and jeans — to remember this great man known to some as Darryl, to some as brother, to some as dad and as a friend to all.
