PROSPECT–Chester Polakowski, 82, formerly of Naugatuck, passed away on Monday, March 7 surrounded by his loving family at the Paradigm Healthcare Center in Prospect.
Chester was born on Oct. 7, 1928 in Naugatuck, a son of the late Stanley and Rose Polakowski. He was retired from Uniroyal Footwear Division where he worked for 30 years. He was a veteran of WWII having served in the U.S. Army. He was a member and former permitee of the Polish American Club and a communicant of St. Hedwigs Church.
He is survived by his daughter, Elaine Litke and her husband Wilfred of Naugatuck, three grandchildren, Rachel Day and her husband Chris of Burlington, Jason Litke and Wilfred Litke III, both of Naugatuck, two great-grandchildren, Tyler and Madison Day.
A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, March 9 at 7:00 p.m. at the Buckmiller Brothers Funeral Home, 82 Fairview Ave, Naugatuck. Burial will be at the convenience of the family.
Friends may call at the funeral home on Wednesday evening from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m.
