NAUGATUCK — Mr. Chester P. Rozycki, 62, of Naugatuck, passed away on Wednesday, July 27, at VITAS Hospice Care at Saint Mary’s Hospital after a brief illness.
Chet was born in Waterbury on June 10, 1949, beloved son of Ann P. (Smith) Rozycki. He was a longtime Naugatuck resident and worked at Engineered Sinterings & Plastics in Watertown for over 20 years. Chet loved music, especially Doo-Wop and was an avid Yankee fan. He will be remembered as a caring, loving, and generous individual with a heart of gold by his family and friends.
Besides his mother of Naugatuck, he leaves his sister, Carol Grenier of Barkhamsted; his three nephews, Ron, Peter, and Dale Grenier; his uncle George Smith and his aunt Dorothy Smith of Naugatuck; his many cousins, his cats, Zorro and Trigger.
He was predeceased by his father, Chester P. Rozycki, Sr.
His funeral will be held on Monday, Aug. 1 at 8:15 a.m. from the Naugatuck Valley Memorial/Fitzgerald Zembruski Funeral Home, 240 North Main St., Naugatuck to St. Francis of Assisi Church, 318 Church St., Naugatuck for a mass of Christian burial at 9 a.m. Burial will follow in St. James Cemetery, Cross Street, Naugatuck. Calling hours will be held at the funeral home on Sunday from 3 p.m. to 5p.m. Please omit flowers.
