NAUGATUCK — Charles W. Becker, 90, of 66 Hickory Road, passed away on Monday, Dec. 19, 2011 at Paradigm Health Center of Prospect. He was husband of Jean (Farrar) Becker.

Mr. Becker was born in Williamsport, Pa. on Dec. 3, 1921, son of the late Joseph and Bertha (Snyder) Becker. He was a resident of Naugatuck for many years, and he retired from Lewis Kitchen and Bath in Waterbury. He was also a self-employed carpenter, building many homes in the area. Mr. Becker was active in the community and served on several town committees. Charles served his country in the U. S. Army during World War II. He was a communicant of St. Francis Church.

Besides his wife of 65 years, he leaves a son, Joseph Becker and his companion Leslie of Norwood, Mass.; a sister Myrtle Jones of Calif.; two grandchildren, Dylan Becker and Hannah Becker; and several wonderful nieces and nephews.

His funeral will be held on Thursday, Dec.22, from the Naugatuck Valley Memorial/Fitzgerald Zembruski Funeral Home, 240 North Main St., Naugatuck, to St. Francis of Assisi Church, 318 Church St., Naugatuck for a mass of Christian burial at 11 a.m. Burial with military honors will follow in St. James Cemetery, Cross Street, Naugatuck. Calling hours will be held at the funeral home on Thursday morning from 9:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m.
