Obituary: Charles B. Cabeceiras

WEST KINGSTON, R.I. — Charles B. Cabeceiras, 64, of Glen Rock Road, West Kingston, passed away Tuesday, March 6 at Home and Hospice care in Providence. He was the husband of Linda M. (Soucie) Cabeceiras.

Born in Waterbury, Conn. On June 26, 1947, a son of the late Herculano and Lucille (Pichette) Cabeceiras, Charles has been a resident of South Kingston for the past 33 years coming from Naugatuck, Conn. He was a graduate of Naugatuck High School Class of 1965.

For many years, Charles worked for the town of South Kingston’s wastewater department retiring in 2006. Charles was an avid collector, bird watcher, and sports fan. He enjoyed traveling, camping, and RVing. Charles was the inventor of Charlin Scorch Sauce.

Besides his wife Linda, Charles is survived by his sons, Jashua C. Cabeceiras if Kingston and Jeremie J. Cabeceiras of West Kingston; his daughters, Kimberly L. Cabeceiras of Glenwood Springs, Colo. and Shannon L. Wagner of Ledyard, Conn.; his sister, Judith McCowen of Naugatuck, Conn. and 11 grandchildren.

A memorial service was held March 10 in Curtis Corner Baptist Church, Wakefield. Burial was private.
