WEST HAVEN — Charles A. “Chuck” Kevit, 61, formerly of Middlebury passed away on Wednesday, Sept. 25, 2013 after a long courageous battle with cancer. He was the husband of Linda (Fuoco) Kevit.
Chuck was born on Jan. 14, 1952 in Waterbury a son of the late Charles R. Kevit and Mary (Laguna) Kevit of Woodbury. He worked in facilities and manufacturing for many years. He was an avid fisherman, and held his wonderful sense of humor until the end.
Besides his loving wife Linda he is survived by his two brothers, John Kevit of Beacon Falls and Gary Kevit of Woodbury; two sisters, Mary Jeanne Selby of Watertown and her Husband, Jim, Doreen Mayconich of Limerick, Pa., and her Husband, Tom. He will also be missed by his two brothers-in-law, Vincent Fuoco of Cheshire and Gabrial Fuoco of Beacon Falls and also his three nephews.
The funeral will be held on Monday, Sept. 30, 2013 at 9:15 a.m. from the Buckmiller Brothers Funeral Home, 82 Fairview Ave., Naugatuck to St. Michael’s Roman Catholic Church in Beacon Falls for a mass at 10 a.m. Burial will be in St. James Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home on Sunday evening from 5 to 7 p.m.
