NAUGATUCK — Carl E. Holloway Sr. aka (Jerry and Hooter) passed away on Friday, Feb. 15, 2013 at St. Mary’s Hospital Vitas Unit surrounded by his loving family. Carl was the husband of the late Patricia (Marling) Holloway.

Carl was born in Lafferty, Ohio on Aug. 9, 1939 and was the son of the late Jacob and Margaret Novak Holloway. He was an Army veteran. He worked as a saw operator for the Ansonia Copper and Brass Co. for 44 years until his retirement. Carl was an avid fisherman, gardener and loved going to the casinos.

He is survived by three daughters Janet Lara of Waterbury, Margaret Perregaux and her fiancé Carl Wooten of Naugatuck and Barbara A. and her husband Henry Moran also of Naugatuck; three sons, Victor Holloway of High springs, Fla., Carl E. Holloway Jr and his wife Michelle of Waterbury and James Holloway also of Naugatuck; two sisters, Mary Higgins and her husband Roger of Belmont, Ohio and Clara lee Danley and her husband Harry of Ansonia. He also leaves 17 grandchildren and one great-grandson, Carter and leaves several nieces and nephews.

Besides his wife and parents he was predeceased by one sister and several brothers.

The family would like to thank all of the doctors and nurses who cared for him also a special thanks to Stephanie Wooten as his little nurse.

His funeral will leave the Buckmiller Brothers Funeral Home, 82 Fairview Ave., Naugatuck on Thursday morning at 8:30 a.m. for a mass at St. Francis of Assisi Church at 9 a.m. Burial with full military honors will be in Grove Cemetery. Calling hours will be Wednesday from 4 to 7 p.m. at the funeral home.
