OXFORD — Brian Chadwick, 53, of Oxford, beloved husband of Kathy Shallow Chadwick, died July 23, in the comfort of his home, surrounded by his family.

Born in Bridgeport on June 18, 1958, he was the son of the late Leo and Mary Idle Chadwick. Mr. Chadwick was a graduate of Bunnell High School and worked as a printer for the Victorinox Swiss Army Co., until the time of his illness. He was a fan of NASCAR, enjoyed many trips to New Hampshire to snowmobile and was an avid Harley Davidson enthusiast, often participating in charitable rides and rallies. Mr. Chadwick was a dedicated member of the Oxford Center Fire Co. and will be long remembered for his commitment to family and service to his community.

In addition to his wife of 28 years, he is survived by his devoted daughters, Heather Delaney of Stratford, Carissa Chadwick and Ralph Fensmore of Monroe, Crystal Passerie and her husband, Michael of Naugatuck, Amy Chadwick of Derby and her Fiancé, Joseph Lachioma of Monroe, and Mandy Delaney of Stratford; a sister, Linda Capra and her husband, James of Huntington; cherished grandchildren, Victoria, Isabella, DJ, Ryan, Luca and Olivia; as well as several nieces and nephews and his former spouse, Deborah Matosian of Derby.

Funeral services will take place on Thursday, July 28, at 10 a.m. in the Wakelee Memorial Funeral Home, 167 Wakelee Ave., Ansonia. Interment will follow in Mountain Meadows Cemetery, Seymour. Family and friends may call on Wednesday, July 27, from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m.
