NAUGATUCK — Beverly Jean Rourke, 73, of Naugatuck passed away on Wednesday, Oct. 19, after a long illness. She was the wife of the late Robert D. Rourke and the daughter of the late Whitney and Katherine Glendening of Stamford.
She graduated from Southern Connecticut State University with a Bachelor of Science degree and worked as a registered nurse at Milford and Waterbury Hospital. She spent the majority of her life as a professional and dedicated healthcare provider and caregiver. Beverly was a devoted and loving mother and grandmother; her family meant everything to her. She enjoyed vacations with her family to Disney World and Hawaii and always loved the beach.
She is survived by her two sons, James and Theresa Rourke of Naugatuck and John and his wife Christine Rourke of Winsted; three grandchildren, James C. Rourke, Fallon Rourke, and Nicole Rourke. Beverly is also survived by her brother, Richard Glendening.
She was predeceased by her sister, Phyllis Peterson.
Private services are to be held at the convenience of the family.
