NORTHFIELD — Barbara A. (Lauer) Reynolds, 87, widow of Raymond Reynolds, passed away Monday, Aug. 10, 2020, at Charlotte Hungerford Hospital.

Born in Union City on Sept. 6, 1932, she was the daughter of William and Antoinette (Pilatowski) Lauer. Barbara grew up and was a longtime resident of Naugatuck. She also spent four years as a military wife stationed in North Dakota. She and her husband eventually moved to Watertown and then Northfield, where she raised her only daughter, Lisa.

She leaves her loving daughter, Lisa and her husband, Mike, of Northfield, along with her three grandchildren, Alicia, Paul and Alexandre. She also leaves her unborn first great-grandson expected to be born in September. She loved her grandchildren relentlessly and nothing made her happier over the years than spending time with them. She loved taking them out to eat and spoiling them on their birthdays.

She loved being with people and everyone loved her company. She was kind and loving to everyone, she loved to shop and dine out. Her favorite pastime at home was watching old movies and coloring. She never forgot anyone’s birthday ever.

She will be greatly missed by so many. Everyone she came in contact with always commented on what a sweet lady she was.

A graveside service will be held on Saturday, August 22, 2020, at 11:45 a.m. at St. James Cemetery, Cross Street, Naugatuck. The Naugatuck Valley Memorial/Fitzgerald-Zembruski Funeral Home, 240 North Main St., Naugatuck, is assisting the family with arrangements.
