Obituary: Angeline M. (Maccioca) Marinello

NAUGATUCK — Mrs. Angeline M. (Maccioca) Marinello, 98, of 79 North Hoadley St., died Sunday, July 3, at the Glendale Center in Naugatuck. She was the widow of Joseph N.(Hootsie) Marinello.

Mrs. Marinello was born in Derby on April 9, 1913 a daughter of the late Paolo and Filomena (Lupone) Maccioca. She was retired from the Uniroyal Inc. Footwear Division in Naugatuck where she had worked for over 35 years. She was a communicant of St. Francis of Assisi Church in Naugatuck, a member and past president of the Cristoforo Columbo Society Ladies Auxillary and a member of the A.A.R.P. #495 having served for many years as the trips and tours coordinator. She was an avid reader and spent countless hours at the library.

Mrs. Marinello is survived by one son, Joseph Marinello and his wife Diana of Wethersfield; two grandchildren, Michele Driscoll and her husband Terence of Sherborn, Mass., and Joseph Marinello II and his wife Clarice of West Warwick, R.I.; three great-grandchildren, Caitlin and Patrick Driscoll and Joseph Nicholas Marinello; and her godson, Frank Nuzzolo of Stratford.

Mrs. Marinello’s family would like to thank the nurses, aides and medical team at the Glendale Center for the outstanding care that they provided.

The funeral will be held on Thursday, July 7 at 10:30 a.m. from the Buckmiller Brothers Funeral Home 82 Fairview Ave., Naugatuck , to St. Francis of Assisi Church 318 Church St., Naugatuck, for a mass at 11 a.m. Burial will be in St. James Cemetery in Naugatuck at the convenience of the family. Friends may call at the funeral home on Wednesday, July 6, from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m.
