NAUGATUCK — Mrs. Angeline E. (Einik) Hochon, 94, of Naugatuck, passed away peacefully on Thursday, July 4, 2013 at the VITAS Innovative Care Unit at Saint Mary’s Hospital. She was the widow of Frank B. Hochon.
Mrs. Hochon was born in Union City on May 30, 1919, a daughter of the late Peter and Mary (Kuczek) Einik. She was a lifelong Naugatuck resident and retired after 36 years of service from the footwear division of Uniroyal, Inc. She enjoyed spending time with her family and cat, Miss Kitty, and relaxing at home. She was a communicant of St. Francis of Assisi Church.
She leaves her daughters, Helen Lafontaine of Naugatuck, Wanda B. Hochon- DiMuzio and her husband Nicholas of Litchfield, Barbara Hochon of Naugatuck; her granddaughters, Shelly Ann Passaro of Myrtle Beach, S.C., and Tammi Carasone and her husband Robert of Naugatuck; her grandson, Jeffery Bourassa of Waterbury; her great-grandchildren, Kaylee and Justin Carasone and Mikaela Passaro; her brother, John Einik and his wife Elaine of Watertown; her sister, Helen Zorozny and her predeceased husband Hank of Shrewsbury, Mass.; several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by a brother, Peter Einik and his wife Mary Ann; her sister, Mary Federowicz and her husband Ben; her son-in-law Robert Lafontaine.
Her funeral will be held on Saturday, July 6, 2013 at 10 a.m. from the Naugatuck Valley Memorial/Fitzgerald Zembruski Funeral Home, 240 North Main St., Naugatuck to St. Francis of Assisi Church, 318 Church St., Naugatuck for a mass of Christian burial at 10:30 a.m. Burial will follow in Calvary Cemetery, East Main Street, Waterbury. Calling hours will be held at the funeral home on Saturday morning from 9 to 10 a.m.
