Obituary: Adele (Stasonis) Poulin


NAUGATUCK — Adele (Stasonis) Poulin, 91, passed away on Saturday, Aug. 6, at Waterbury Hospital surrounded by her loving family. She was the widow of Edward J. Poulin.

Mrs. Poulin was born on Sept. 15, 1919 in Naugatuck a daughter of the late Victor and Margaret Stasonis. She was retired from Lewis Engineering and Kmart where she worked for many years, and she was also the former owner of Vic’s Smoke Shop in Naugatuck.

She is survived by two daughters, Aldona LaPorta of Naugatuck and Sandra Jameson of Waterbury; two sons, Francis Poulin of Florida and Jerry Poulin of Colorado; one sister, Lillian Schaer of Connecticut; eight grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.

The funeral will be held on Wednesday, Aug. 10, at 12:30 p.m. from the Buckmiller Brothers Funeral Home, 82 Fairview Ave., Naugatuck to St. Mary’s Church, 338 N. Main St., for a mass at 1 p.m. Burial will be in St. James Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home on Wednesday morning from 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.
