SEYMOUR — Ada M. Atwood DeBarber, 70, of Seymour, the beloved wife of the late David R. DeBarber, entered into eternal rest on Saturday, April 13, 2013 at Griffin Hospital, surrounded by her loving family.

She was born in New Haven on July 26, 1942, daughter of the late Frank and Ada Wooding Atwood. Ada was a devout communicant of The Church of the Good Shepherd of Seymour. She was a pharmacy tech at CVS of Seymour for over 25 years and a 1960 graduate of Amity High. Ada loved the beach, flowers and trips to the casino. She was happiest when she was spending time with her late husband and family.

Ada will be sadly missed by all. Her loving family includes two caring sons, Matthew D. DeBarber and his wife Tracy of Naugatuck and John J. DeBarber and his wife Laura of Seymour; two devoted daughters Michelle A. Cox and her husband Raymond of Seymour and Melissa J. DeBarber Gilmour of Thomaston; five cherished grandchildren, Ashley Marie DeBarber, Isabella Riley Gilmour, Chloe E. Gilmour, John D. DeBarber and William D. Gilmour and several nieces and nephews and her faithful and beloved dog, Pugslie.

A mass of Christian burial will be held on Wednesday, April 17, 2013 at 10 a.m. directly at The Church of the Good Shepherd, 135 Mountain Road, Seymour. Interment in the family plot at Mountain Meadows Cemetery, Seymour, will follow. Friends and relatives may call at the Miller-Ward Funeral Home, 260 Bank St. (Route 67, across from Klarides Village) Seymour on Tuesday, April 16, 2013 from 4 until 8 p.m.
