BEACON FALLS – Maureen J. D’Averso, 77, widow of Michael J. D’Averso Sr., died peacefully on Aug. 4, 2022 at Waterbury Hospital surrounded by loving family.

Maureen was a fan of the Boston Red Sox and UConn sports, especially men’s and women’s basketball, and football. She enjoyed reading, scanning the skies for bald eagles, relaxing in her pool and was always on the hunt for a lobster roll that was better than the last one. She was a faithful parishioner of St. Michael’s Roman Catholic Church and a member of the Prospect Senior Center. Maureen maintained many long-term friendships, from her high school classmates, to her nursing friends and colleagues, to her friends at the senior center.
Maureen is survived by her son, Michael J. D’Averso Jr. and his wife, Stephanie, and grandsons, Michael and William all of Tolland; her son, James D’Averso and his wife, Sabrina, of East Haven; and step-granddaughter, Kaylee Roberts of New Haven; her son, Eric D’Averso of Beacon Falls, and grandchildren, Samantha and Ryan both of Southington, and many nieces and nephews.
