NAUGATUCK — Mary Louise (Gouveia) Mallane, 89, of Naugatuck, died peacefully at her home Oct. 16, 2022, with her loving family by her side. She was the widow of Patrick Mallane.
Mary was born in Waterbury Dec. 25, 1932, daughter of the late Lionel and Maria (Dos Santos) Gouveia. She was a lifelong resident of the Waterbury-Naugatuck area. She worked at Uniroyal for 24 years, then at Better Formed Metals for 17 years until her retirement.
Mary was a beloved wife, mother, sister and grandmother. She and her twin sister Natalie were inseparable. Mary touched many lives with her kindness and her door was always open to family and friends. She was a favorite aunt to her many nieces and nephews and will be greatly missed.
Mary leaves two sons, Patrick Mallane and his wife Renie, and Brian Mallane and his girlfriend Sharen, all of Naugatuck; twin sister Natalie Pinto of Waterbury; grandchildren Brian K. Mallane and Ashley Mallane; and great-grandchildren Lily and Paisley.
She was predeceased by her brother Lee Gouveia.
A Mass of Christian Burial was to be celebrated Friday, Oct. 21, at 11 a.m. directly at St. Vincent Ferrer Church, 1006 New Haven Road, Naugatuck. Burial was to follow in St. James Cemetery in Naugatuck. There were no calling hours.
