WATERBURY — Mark Schiller, 61, died unexpectedly Jan. 6, 2023, at his home.
Mark was born Aug. 27, 1961, a son of the late Alvin K. and Lydia (Fidalgo) Schiller. Mark was raised in Naugatuck, where he graduated from Naugatuck High School, class of 1979, and he also lived in Torrington, before recently moving to Waterbury.
Mark volunteered in Naugatuck as an EMT and then went on to work in Waterbury as an EMT. Mark was also a former security guard for an armored car service and for more than 12 years he successfully ran his own business, Utopia Landscaping.
Mark is survived by his brother, Jeffrey Schiller of Naugatuck; and several relatives and close friends, including Joyce Enquist, Charles and Carole Bowley, Carol Crean and Art and Lenore Nunes.
All services were private. The Buckmiller Thurston Mengacci Funeral Home, 82 Fairview Ave., Naugatuck, was entrusted with Mark’s arrangements.
