WATERBURY — June (Pesce) Ieronimo, 96, passed away on May 27, 2023. She was the only child of the late Angelo and Mary (Christiano) Pesce and was predeceased by her husband, John Anthony Ieronimo Sr., and her son, John Anthony Ieronimo Jr.
June is survived by her daughter, Maria Druan and husband Tom of Prospect; son Raymond Ieronimo and wife Lisa of Haverhill, Mass., and daughter-in-law Michelle Ieronimo of Shelton.
She is also survived by grandchildren and great-grandchildren, Angela Druan of Waterbury; Tom, wife Emily, and children Maeve and Miles Druan of Roslindale, Mass.; Laura, husband Drew, and son Lyle Watson of Roslindale, Mass.; Rachel, husband Tim, and children Christopher and Grace Noia of Woodbridge; Gregory Ieronimo and wife Danielle of Redondo Beach, Calif.; and Alexander Ieronimo and wife Morgan of Dedham, Mass.
June enjoyed spending time with her cousins, who were more like brothers and sisters, and her best friend Yolanda Genovese. She was an accomplished pianist and was known for sponge cakes she prepared for family events.
June’s favorite pastime was watching old films and recalling movie star trivia. She was blessed to be taken care of by the staff at Apple Rehab in Watertown, where she resided for the past five years.
A Mass of Christian Burial was to be celebrated on Thursday, June 1, 2023, at 11 a.m. at Mary, Mother of the Church Parish, Sts. Peter and Paul Church, 67 Southmayd Road, Waterbury.
Family and friends were asked to meet directly at the church. Burial was to follow at Mount Olivet Cemetery, Watertown.
