Joseph A. Alberti


BEACON FALLS — In loving memory of Joseph Anthony Alberti, age 70, of Beacon Falls, we are saddened to announce his passing on Jan. 6, 2023.

He was born on Oct. 3, 1952, in Isnello, Italy, son of the late Rosario and Rosalia (Di Martino) Alberti.

Joe was an immigrant to the U.S. during the flood of 1955.

He proudly served as a member of the U.S. Air Force during the Vietnam War.

Joe was a valued employee of the U.S. Postal Service where he took tremendous pride in his customers.

He was a courageous, thoughtful, and forever giving friend of Bill W for more than 30 years.

Joe was a dedicated member and Scoutmaster of the Boy Scouts of America, where he achieved the rank of Eagle Scout.

Joe is survived by his brother Biagio Alberti and wife Danita (Santini) Alberti; nieces and nephews Roy Alberti and his wife Milena, Giuseppe Alberti, Gianna Alberti and Dante Alberti; and great-nephew Brody Kai.

Friends were to greet the family on Tuesday, Jan. 10, from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. at Riverview Funeral Home, 390 River Road, Shelton.

On Wednesday, Jan. 11, his funeral procession was to leave the funeral home at 11:15 a.m. for his Mass of Christian Burial at noon in Holy Rosary Church, 10 Father Salemi Drive, Ansonia. Burial with military honors will follow at Mount St. Peter’s Cemetery in Derby.
