WATERBURY – Joan P. Ware, 90, of Waterbury, passed away on Jan. 5, 2024.
She was born Jan. 7, 1933, the only child of the late Charles Donald and Mildred Irene (Clarke) Pusbach. She was also predeceased by a stepgrandson Ryan Sally of Seminole, Fla.

Joan was a huge fan of the Red Sox, Buffalo Bills, and both men’s and women’s UConn basketball. She wouldn’t miss out on a game and always made sure to keep records of their scores and who were the opponents.

Joan was artistically talented as an actress in Little Theatre in Jamestown, N.Y. She enjoyed traveling and vacationing, as well as playing cribbage, solitaire, and doing crossword puzzles. Joan also served as a member of the Coast Guard Auxiliary and member of Eastern Star.

Joan leaves behind her four children, Charles Francisco (Doug Ware) and wife Reney of Waterbury, William Francisco (Ware) and wife Cindy of Oxford, Donna Cullen (Ware) and husband Stephen of Kissimmee, Fla., and Mark Candler Ware and wife Cindy of Norfolk, Va.; her grandchildren, Heather Foster and husband Matthew of Southbury, Amy Francisco of New York, N.Y., Nicole Hiscock and husband Stephen of Naugatuck, and Dustin Chandler Ware of Michigan; her stepgrandchildren, Megan Sally of Seminole, Fla., and Brooke Gouveia and husband Ewerton; her great-grandchildren, Jazymyn Francisco, Anthony Francisco, Aurora Francisco, and Harper Hiscock; and her stepgreat-grandchildren, Mateo Gouveia, Luca Gouveia, Devin Hanich, Hudson Ball, and Jack Ball.
