Howard B. Davidson Jr. Marine Corps veteran, longtime Naugatuck resident

FARMINGTON — Howard B. Davidson Jr., 85, passed away on Friday, March 3, 2023, at UConn Medical Center. He was the husband of the late Carol (Burke) Davidson.

Mr. Davidson was born July 4, 1937, in Bridgeport, the son of the late Howard and Sylvia (Parsons) Davidson Sr.

After graduating from high school in Trumbull, he proudly served his country in the U.S. Marine Corps.

He was a longtime Naugatuck resident before moving to Terryville in 2018, and then to Farmington.

He was an insurance agent working for John Hancock for the majority of his career.

Mr. Davidson was a friend of Bill W., where he touched many lives and remained sober in excess of 30 years.

Mr. Davidson is survived by his son David Davidson of Henderson, Nev.; his daughters, Stacy Orr and her husband Ronald, of Terryville, Kimberly Brown and her husband Scott, of Watertown, N.Y., and Brianne Barrett of Northford; his sister Elizabeth Sword of Monroe; as well as his 11 grandchildren.

Besides his wife and his parents, he was predeceased by his brother Charles Davidson.

Calling hours will be on Monday March 6, 2023 from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m. at the Alderson-Ford Funeral Home of Naugatuck, 201 Meadow St.

A service was to be at the funeral home at 6:30 p.m.
