NAUGATUCK — Grace Elizabeth Brawley, 89, passed away peacefully, after a brief illness, in her home in Naugatuck on Sunday, Feb. 5, 2033.
Grace was born Oct. 7, 1933 in Salisbury, N.C., daughter of Curlee Brawley Sr. and Jenolia (Brawley) Caldwell. Grace was a resident of Waterbury for more than 60 years. She was a retiree from Southbury Training School and Timex in Middlebury.
Grace is survived by her daughter Rosalyn Tuner (Brawley), son Michael Brawley, daughter Carolyn McEachern and son Larry Brawley; siblings Robert and Patricia Caldwell, Joyce and Grover Garris, Shirley Lipkins, Curlee Jr. and Jenny Brawley, Cleo and Pearl Brawley, Lorraine Brawley, Brenda and Clement Sherrill, Wanda Brawley and Cliff Graham; Laverne Cross and Janette Griffin, both predeceased.
She was known as “Nana” to her grandchildren Michelle Torres, Leonard Brawley and Darren Chrissluis; great-grandchildren Mekhi and Ryleigh Williams.
Grace will be deeply missed and forever loved.
Private services will be in her honor with only close family members in attendance.
