WATERBURY — Elizabeth A. Baslak, 87, passed away on Wednesday, Nov. 16, 2022, at Waterbury Gardens.

Mrs. Baslak was born July 10, 1935, in Waterbury, the daughter of the late Henry and Elizabeth (McSweet) Townsend. She was a member of St. Paul’s Lutheran Church. As a longtime resident of Oxford, she was employed for many years at Peter Paul Cadbury in Naugatuck. She was known for her love of the beach, Almond Joys, and bowling as well as spoiling her cats.

Mrs. Baslak is survived by her siblings, Theodore Townsend, Gertrude Griswold and Mildred Kovic, as well as several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her sister, Ruth Solberg, and her former husband, William Baslak.

Funeral services were 11 a.m. Wednesday, Nov. 23, 2022, at the Alderson-Ford Funeral Home of Naugatuck. Burial in Grove Cemetery. A period of visitation was Wednesday morning from 10:30 a.m. until the service at 11 a.m.
