BEACON FALLS — Dolores Wisniewski, 87, of Beacon Falls, widow of Richard W. Wisniewski, passed away on Wednesday, June 15, 2022 at Waterbury Hospital. She was born on Oct. 10, 1934 in Waterbury, a daughter of the late Helen and Stanley Swirbitowicz.

Dolores was a communicant of St. Michael Church in Beacon Falls, and she worked at Risdon Manufacturing for many years before retiring in 1998.

Dolores was a loving mother and grandmother who cherished her family. She enjoyed spending time with them, and looked forward to cooking dinners and sharing in martinis at family gatherings. She was an outgoing woman with a warm heart and spitfire personality and will be deeply missed by her family and friends.

Her memory will live on in the hearts of those she leaves behind, her children, Richard Wisniewski and his wife, Dawn, of Beacon Falls, Stephen Wisniewski and his wife, Susan, of Newtown, Lisa Cherhoniak and her husband, Gary, of Prospect, and Sharon Capaldo and her husband, Martin, of Thomaston; her five grandchildren, Jake and Luke Wisniewski, and Kyle, Zachary, and Camryn Capaldo; five great-grandchildren; as well as many nieces, nephews, and friends.

In addition to her husband and parents, Dolores was predeceased by her six siblings, Helen Detullio, and Stanley, Adam, Henry, Joseph, and Ray Swirbitowicz.

A visitation hour will be from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. on Monday, June 20, 2022 at Prospect Memorial / The Palmerie Family Funeral Home, 72 Waterbury Road, Prospect, followed by a procession to St. Michael Church, 25 Maple Ave, Beacon Falls, for a Mass of Christian Burial at 11:30 a.m. Interment will follow in St. James Cemetery, Naugatuck.
