PROSPECT — Claude N. Lyons Jr., age 65, passed away peacefully on Sunday, Sept. 4, 2022, at his residence.
Born in Waterbury on April 1, 1957, he was the son of Annabelle (Dollinger) Lyons of Cheshire, and the late Claude N. Lyons Sr. Claude graduated from Wilcox Technical School in Meriden, retired from Sikorsky Aircraft after 15 years of service, and had also worked at Consolidated Industries for 10 years.
He volunteered as a Cub Scout leader for many years with his sons. He was a member of the Waterbury Elks Lodge 265, RPMC, Bristol Fish & Game Club, and HighRiders Snowmobile Club.
Claude enjoyed hunting, fishing, camping, ATVing, motorcycling, and spending quality time with his sons, whom he was very proud of.
Besides his mother, he leaves his family, his sons Christopher Lyons, Richard Lyons and Nickalaus Lyons; his brother David Lyons; his sister Ruth Clark; his three granddaughters, Abbygale, Margaret and Brianna Lyons; several nieces, nephews, cousins and many lifelong friends.
Claude was predeceased by his brother John Lyons.
His funeral was Saturday, Sept. 10, 2022 at the Naugatuck Valley Memorial/Fitzgerald-Zembruski Funeral Home, 240 N. Main St., Naugatuck.
Burial followed in Grove Cemetery. Visitation was Friday, Sept. 9at the funeral home.
