WOLCOTT — Carol Wallas, 81, passed away on Saturday, Dec. 25, 2021, at her home. She was the wife of Arnold Wallas.
Mrs. Wallas was born Dec. 3, 1940, in Bridgeport, the daughter of the late Hans and Elvera (Christensen) Hansen. She was raised in Stratford and was a longtime Wolcott resident having previously resided in Naugatuck and New Canaan. During her years in New Canaan, she was a coordinator for the Meals on Wheels program. After her children were grown, she worked as a teller in the banking industry.
Besides her husband, Mrs. Wallas is survived by her children, Debra McCann, Mark Wallas and his wife, Lynn, Nancy Palmer and Kurt Wallas and his wife, Linda; her grandchildren, DJ, Carl, Peter, Jenny, Morgan, Tanya, Amy and Nicholas.
Besides her parents, she is predeceased by her brothers Carl and Ronald Hansen.
A funeral service was at Alderson-Ford Funeral Home of Waterbury, 496 Chase Ave. Burial will be at the convenience of the family.
