NAUGATUCK — Carmen L. (Paquette) Bellemare, 75, of Naugatuck, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, Dec, 7, 2022, at Complete Care at Glendale Center in Naugatuck. She was the beloved wife of the late Armand Bellemare.
Carmen was born in Grand Mere, Quebec, Canada, on March 2, 1947, a daughter of the late Hormisdas and Yvonne (Pratte) Paquette. Before her retirement, she was a factory worker in the Waterbury area. She enjoyed spending time with her friends and family and volunteering in her community; especially by bringing joy to the hearts of children in the community.
She was even recognized by the state of Connecticut and given the “Neighborhood Community Award” by the Waterbury Neighborhood Council for her dedication and service to the Waterville Community Club through her volunteer work with the children of the Waterville community. Carmen never saw someone as a stranger; everyone she met she instantly treated as a friend.
Carmen leaves to cherish her memory, her daughter, Michele Micetich and her husband Trevor, of Centerville, Iowa; five grandchildren, Garrette (Josie) Micetich, Austin Tilley, Nate Sells, Bryce Micetich and Gianna Micetich; two great-grandchildren, Sebastian Micetich and Elaina Micetich.
She also leaves her sister, Lucille Kowalski and her husband Fred, of Waterbury, and a brother, Maurice Paquette of Southbury; and several nieces and nephews.
Carmen’s funeral and burial were to be private and at the convenience of the family. Chase Parkway Memorial/The Albini Family Funeral Home, 430 Chase Parkway, Waterbury, has been entrusted with her arrangements.
