NAUGATUCK — Carl Otto Dahn III, 61, beloved husband of Joanne Boylan Dahn of Florida, died peacefully on March 19, 2022, at the Moffitt Cancer Center, Tampa, Fla. Born in Derby, on May 17, 1960, he was the son of Elizabeth Fetyko Dahn of Seymour and the late Carl Otto Dahn Jr.

Mr. Dahn was a long time Naugatuck and Valley resident before moving to Spring Hill, Fla., in 1993. He was a proud U.S. Army Veteran serving as a Private First Class, from 1977 to 1983. Mr. Dahn III worked as an electrician for many years, before his illness. He enjoyed landscaping and working on his yard, road trips, and spending time with his boys working on cars.

In addition to his mother and wife of 39 years, he is survived by his devoted children, Jessica Lee (Ryan Pride) Dahn and Scott J. Dahn, all of Florida; a sister, Kit (Bob) Aleksiewicz of Prospect; brothers, Lance Dahn of Seymour, Joseph (Kerry) Dahn of Seymour; and a brother-in-law, Donny Matejek of Beacon Falls; cherished grandchildren, Brady, Aria, Carl, Chloe and LaLita; as well as several nieces and nephews.

In addition to his father, he was predeceased by his son, Carl Otto Dahn IV and a sister, Lisa Matejek.

Funeral services took place in the Wakelee Memorial Funeral Home, 167 Wakelee Ave., Ansonia. Interment with Military Honors directly followed in Jacks Hill Cemetery, Oxford.
