WATERBURY — Bruce Eric Hanson, 79, of Waterbury, died on July 1, 2023, of cancer at home.
He was born in Waterbury on Jan. 21, 1944, a son of the late Harry “Stan” Hanson and Mildred (Durr) Hanson.
He is survived by his wife Joyce of 56 years. He leaves his daughters Shelley (Robert) Peck of Watertown, and Rachel (Richard) Vincent of Hamden. He is also survived by his grandsons Kyle (Sara) Peck of Thomaston, Ryan (Lucy) Peck of Watertown, Eric (Cassidy) Peck of Harwinton and Dylan Peck of Watertown.
Also surviving are his great-grandchildren Ethan, Hailey, and Lily Peck of Thomaston, Oliver and Finan Peck of Watertown, and Austin Peck of Harwinton. He also leaves his sister Lynne Argenta and brother Scott (Lisa) Hanson, both of Watertown.
He was predeceased by brother Keith S. Hanson and brother-in-law David Argenta.
There are no calling hours, no services, no spoken words of praise. Just the simple spreading of ashes at Bruce’s place of choice at the convenience of the family.
