PROSPECT — Gaetane M. Poudrier, 69, wife of Normand J. Poudrier, died peacefully on Wednesday, Nov. 13 at St. Mary’s Hospital.

Gaetane was born on Nov. 10, 1950 in Baker Lake, Canada, a daughter of the late Edgar J. and Marianne (Pelletier) Beaulieu, and had lived in Prospect for the past 57 years. Gaetane had a genuine love and passion for her religious belief and faith, people and life. She enjoyed fishing and fiddlehead picking.

In addition to her husband Normand, Gaetane is survived by her daughter, Jennifer M. Poudrier and her significant other, Douglas Pepe; her son, Kenneth N. Poudrier and his partner, Joseph Freund; her grandson, Elliott Freund; her brother, Marcel Beaulieu (Amie); her sisters, Rina Martin, Bernadette Martin, Arlene Morin (Jocelyn), Claudette Messineo (Joseph), Murielle Beaulieu, Claire Boucher (Richard) and Nancy Green (Paul Boutin); her sisters-in-law, Rachel Perrault (Paul) and Hazel O’Neil; her brother-in-law, Richard Poudrier (Paulene); her many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins; her cat, Chloe (aka Min-Min); her grand-dog, Julia and her grand-cat, Dinger. In addition to her parents, Gaetane was predeceased by her brothers, Gerard Beaulieu and Gaetan Beaulieu.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Tuesday, Nov. 19 at 10 a.m. at St. Vincent Ferrer Church, 1006 New Haven Road, Naugatuck. Burial will be private. There are no calling hours, and arrangements have been entrusted to the Buckmiller Thurston Mengacci Funeral Home, 82 Fairview Ave., Naugatuck.
