WATERBURY — Patricia (Romano) Herren, 76, of Waterbury and formerly of Prospect, passed away on Sept. 9, 2019 at Vitas at St. Mary’s Hospital. She was the wife of the late Kenneth C. Herren.
She was born on Jan. 3, 1943 in Waterbury, daughter of the late Edith Romano. Pat was a 1960 graduate of Sacred Heart High School. She went to St. Mary’s School of Nursing and earned a BSN from NYU in 1993. She worked as a nursing supervisor for Interim Health Care for many years. Pat enjoyed playing setback, bingo, casino trips, visiting her sister in Florida, and watching her grandchildren’s sporting events.
Pat is survived by her son, Kenneth Herren and wife, Cynthia, of Prospect; granddaughters, Veronica, Rachel and Faith. She also leaves two sisters, Joyce Sokoloski and husband, Ronald, of Goshen and Barbara George of Naples, Fla., along with nieces and nephews, Cheryl, Paul, Samantha and Christopher.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10 a.m. on Saturday, Sept. 14 at St. Anthony’s Church, 4 Union City Road, Prospect. Everyone is asked to meet directly at church. Burial will follow at Calvary Cemetery, Waterbury. Visitation will be held from 5 to 7 p.m. on Friday, Sept. 13 at Prospect Memorial Funeral Home, 72 Waterbury Road, Prospect.
