Anne Corbett Thomas

WATERBURY — Anne Corbett Thomas passed away peacefully Sept. 5, 2019 at her home surrounded by her husband, Scott, her two dogs, Hunter and Chelsea, and her family, the Corbetts. The past year, Anne fought a long, courageous, painful battle with pancreatic cancer.

Anne was born to the late Marion and James Corbett of Naugatuck, and lived most of her life in Naugatuck.
In addition to Scott, her loving husband of 37 years, she is survived by her seven brothers, James Corbett, Thomas Corbett, Robert Corbett, Patrick Corbett, Daniel Corbett, Peter Corbett and John Corbett; her sister, Cathy Hennessey; her five sisters-in-law, Pauline Corbett, Darlene Corbett, Mary Corbett, Laura Corbett and Theresa Corbett; her brother-in-law, Scott Hennessey; her nieces and nephews, Crystal (husband Joe), Amy (husband Ricky), Jason (wife Diana), Adam (wife Vanessa), Patrick, Michael (soon-to-be wife Lindsey), Jennifer (boyfriend Justin), Shannon (boyfriend Joe), Peter, Tyler, Donna (husband Roy), Jaime (husband Steve); her six grand-nieces and grand-nephews, Alex, Emma, Keira, Landon, Rylan, Reese, Stephen and a child soon to be born in October; many cousins as well as her many friends.

She worked in payroll for Kuehne & Nagel in Naugatuck for 20 years and recently for Neopost USA in Milford.
Anne was kind, generous and always put others before her. She was good to everyone and the life of the party. She enjoyed her two cherished dogs, golfing, puzzles, gardening, trivia games and the Dallas Cowboys, as well as the many parties at her brother’s pool, and especially having fun on yearly family vacations in Myrtle Beach and Cancun.

We all are saddened; our hearts are broken but we know that Anne is now no longer in pain. She is with her mother and father in Heaven smiling down upon us all.

Her family would like to thank the staff at the Harold Lever Regional Cancer Center of Waterbury for their hard work as well as Hartford Healthcare Hospice for their great care in her last days.

A celebration of Anne’s life will be Thursday, Sept. 12, 2019 from 4 to 7 p.m. at the Buckmiller Thurston Mengacci Funeral Home, 82 Fairview Ave., Naugatuck.

In lieu of flowers and to honor Anne’s memory, contributions can be made to Animals for Life, P.O. Box 1481, Naugatuck, CT 06770.
