NAUGATUCK — Mary Jane Hennessey, 88, passed away Sunday, Aug. 4, 2019 at her home. She was the wife of the late James E. Hennessey.
Mrs. Hennessey was born July 23, 1931, in Waterbury, the daughter of the late Thomas and Rose (Mulkuren) Costello. She was raised in Waterbury and Wolcott and graduated Waterbury Catholic High and from Post Junior College. She has been a longtime Naugatuck resident, moving to Naugatuck in 1954. She was a communicant of St. Francis of Assisi Church.
Mrs. Hennessey is survived by her sons, James T. Hennessey and his wife, Debora, of Naugatuck, Daniel M. Hennessey and his wife, Deborah, of Naugatuck; her daughters, Mary Ann Hennessey of Naugatuck, Linda Jane Hennessey of Waterbury, Karen Zagurski and her husband, Thomas, of Terryville, and Doreen Frohman and her husband, Gene, of Woodbridge; her brother, Patrick; her 10 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Saturday, Aug. 10, 2019 at 11 a.m. at St. Francis of Assisi Church, 318 Church St., Naugatuck. Friends are asked to meet directly at church, and there are no calling hours. The Alderson-Ford Funeral Home of Naugatuck is assisting with arrangements.
