DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. — Gary Joseph Mullen, 56, formerly of Naugatuck, died suddenly on July 12, 2019, at his home in Florida.
Gary was born in Oakland, Calif., on March 22, 1963, son of Joseph Mullen and Marianne Vitzoski. He was a truck driver in Naugatuck for many years. He then moved to Daytona Beach with his partner, Cindy, where they opened a bar/restaurant. After many years, Gary then became a cab driver for the Daytona Beach Florida Airport.
Gary enjoyed walking the beaches of Florida with his dog, Bogart, and often said that he loved the year-round weather in Florida.
Gary was loved by his family and friends. Besides his parents, he leaves two sisters, Kathleen Mullen of Cheshire, Conn., and Sheila Linsky and her partner, Ralph Wagner, of Terryville, Conn.; a brother, Sean Mullen of Waterbury, Conn.; half-sisters, Joanne Morris and Judith Cox; and several nieces and nephews. A brother, Thomas Joseph Mullen, is deceased.
The family has decided to have a private service, with no calling hours.
