PROSPECT — Delfina (Tribanas) Paulo, 87, widow of Americo Paulo, passed away on Tuesday, June 4, 2019 at Glendale Center surrounded by her loving family.
Mrs. Paulo was born in Portugal on Dec. 17, 1931, daughter of the late Augusto and Joaquima (Ramos) Tribanas. She came to the United States in August 1969 with her family from Portugal and had worked at Mattatuck Manufacturing for many years. Delfina was a communicant of Our Lady of Fatima Church, and she enjoyed cooking, gardening, sewing and spending time with her family.
She leaves her son, Francisco Paulo of Naugatuck; her daughters, Maria DeLurdes Pinho of Naugatuck, Marie Ribeiro of Prospect, Theresa Couto of New Jersey, Arminda Merolle of Watertown, Fernanda Chicano of Prospect, Fatima DaSilva of Naugatuck, Elizabeth Pregano of Prospect and Natalia Curma of Stratford; her sister, Arminda Batista of Naugatuck; her 17 grandchildren; her five great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
Her funeral will be held on Saturday, June 8, 2019 at 9:30 a.m. from the Naugatuck Valley Memorial/Fitzgerald-Zembruski Funeral Home, 240 North Main St., Naugatuck, to Our Lady of Fatima Church, 2071 Baldwin St., Waterbury, for a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. Burial will be in Seara Velha, Portugal. Family and friends may visit at the funeral home on Saturday from 8 to 9:30 a.m.
