NAUGATUCK — Americo Branco, 42, son of Antonio and Ana (Anjo) Branco, passed away unexpectedly on Thursday, May 30, 2019.
He was born in Waterbury on May 11, 1977. Americo graduated in 1996 from Naugatuck High School and was a lifelong resident of Naugatuck. He had worked as a master mechanic at BMW of Bridgeport for 12 years. He was a parishioner of Our Lady of Fatima Church, and he enjoyed hunting and fishing.
Besides his loving parents, Americo leaves his brother, Fernando Branco and his wife, Sofia, of Middlebury; his nephews, Adrian, Julian and Mason Branco; and many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Tuesday, June 4, 2019 at 11 a.m. at Our Lady of Fatima Church in Waterbury. Those attending are asked to please meet at the church at 10:45 a.m. Burial will be in Mourilhe, Portugal. Calling hours will be held on Tuesday, June 4, 2019 from 9 to 10:30 a.m. at the Naugatuck Valley Memorial/Fitzgerald-Zembruski Funeral Home, 240 North Main St., Naugatuck.
