NAUGATUCK – Ann Marie (Pistarelli) Garrett, 75, passed away Jan. 18, 2011 at Beacon Brook Health Center with her loving family at her side. She was the widow of Edward W.Garrett, Sr.
Mrs. Garrett was born August 15, 1935 in Waterbury, a daughter of the late Aldo J. and Anna (Rizzo) Pistarelli. She was a member of AARP, Chistophoro Columbo and an Alumnus of St. Mary’s School of Nursing. During her career she was a private duty nurse, a director of nurses, and worked in the federal government to provide quality healthcare. The family would like to thank the staff at Beacon Brook Health Center for there love and care for the past five years for Ann Marie.
She is survived by one son, Edward W Garrett Jr. and his wife Madeline of Plantsville, one sister, Arlene Nerren of Florida, one brother, Aldo Pistarelli and his wife Kristi of Naugatuck; she also leaves several nieces, nephews, brothers and sisters in law.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend a mass of Christian burial at St. Francis of Assisi Church, 318 Church Street, Naugatuck, Jan. 22 at 10:30 a.m. All are asked to meet directly at Church. Burial will be in St. James Cemetery, Naugatuck. Friends and family may call at the Buckmiller Brothers Funeral Home, 82 Fairview Ave, Naugatuck on Friday evening from 5-7 p.m.
