NAUGATUCK — The Naugatuck YMCA kicked off its annual Community Campaign with a Celtic Night March 2 at the Crystal Room.
The campaign supports the YMCA’s yearly financial assistance program that provides opportunities to members of the community. In 2017, the YMCA provided $130,000 in aid to members of the community. This year’s goal is to raise $40,000 for the YMCA’s financial assistance program.
Also, during this kickoff event, 65 children were sponsored for the Send a Kid to Camp campaign.
“The dedication and support from the volunteer board members, community volunteers and sponsors all contribute to the impact the YMCA has on the community it serves,” a press release stated.
