SEYMOUR — The Naugatuck Valley Council of Governments is hosting a design workshop for residents, business owners and stakeholders in Beacon Falls and Seymour on April 4.

The workshop will focus on the transit hub in and around the Beacon Falls and Seymour rail stations. The workshop is from 6 to 8 p.m. at Seymour Town Hall, 1 First St.

During the workshop, people can provide input for a transportation planning study being conducted by NVCOG. The study is designed to ensure certain future transportation projects best meet the needs of businesses, the local workforce and all residents. It is assessing alternative transit modes within the Route 8/Waterbury branch rail line corridors and developing transit-supportive land use plans.
