WATERBURY — Will M. Boutote, 73, of Waterbury, entered into eternal rest on Tuesday, Feb. 28, 2023, at his home. He was the son of the late Gil and Mary (Walker) Boutote.

Will was born Aug. 11, 1949 in St. John, Maine. He moved with his family to Waterbury in 1955.

He was a graduate of Kennedy High School in Waterbury. Will was a longtime employee of The Big Y at many locations, most recently in Newtown, up until his passing.

He was an avid New York Yankees fan and never missed a game. He will always be remembered for wearing his classic Levi blue jeans and brown leather boots no matter what time of year it was.

Will is survived by his daughter, Jacqueline (Boutote) Cote (Chris) of Waterbury, a granddaughter, Victoria Grace Cote; friend and former wife, Debbie (Paynter) Boutote of Watertown; two brothers, Gil (Phyllis) Boutote of Waterbury, Brian (Debbie) Boutote of Wolcott; a sister, Diana Davino of New Port Richey, Fla.; and a sister-in-law, Mevlude Boutote of Wolcott; as well as many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.

He was predeceased by his sisters, Judy Angelicola, Carla Boutote; and his brother, Rick Boutote.

Friends and family are invited to visit with Will’s family on Friday, March 10, 2023, from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. at Prospect Memorial/The Palmerie Family Funeral Home, 122 Waterbury Road, Prospect. A celebration of life service will begin at 7 p.m.
