NAUGATUCK — The Whittemore Library is raffling off several baseball-related books and items.

In May the library contacted several nationally known baseball authors to see if they would donate signed copies of their new books. A number of autographed books were donated. The library is raffling “Hack’s 191: Hack Wilson and his incredible 1930 Season” by Bill Chastain; “Bottom of the 33rd: Hope, Redemption and Baseball’s Longest Game” by Dan Barry; “Summer of 68: The Season that changed Baseball, and America, Forever” by Tim Wendel; “The Story of Roberto Clemente,” by Wilfred Santiago.

The library is also raffling off a signed photo of Boston Red Sox Kevin Youkilis and four reserved tickets to a New Britain Rock Cats game.

Raffle tickets are $2 for one, $5 for three tickets, and $10 for 12 tickets. Tickets are available at the adult circulation desk. The drawing will be held on the morning of July 6.
